Welcome to the STEPS Engineering Your Future Application Process. We are delighted that you are interested in this fantastic Transition Year opportunity. Please take the time to read the information below before applying.

Only one application per student allowed. Duplicates will be deleted. 

If you are here because you received an offer email please do not create a new application. Check which email you used originally to create your application and use that to login. 

Please note the following experiences are now over capacity and are closed to new applications. ATU Sligo, ATU Galway, Combilift, DCU, UL,TCD, TU Dublin, UCD, Maynooth University, MTU Cork, MTU Kerry REEdI, SETU Carlow, SETU Waterford, TUS Athlone, Viatris- Cork and Viatris-Galway.

Some of the experiences are only open to specific schools please read descriptions of your preferred choice before applying.

Information required to complete application form:

  • Your (student) contact details including your own email address. Ideally use a gmail account. Do not use a school email address. 
  • If you are under 16 years of age when completing the application form you will need to get your parent to fill in the form under GDPR rules.
  • Parent/guardian contact details which must be different to your student email address. 
  • TY Coordinator contact details.
  • Decide on your preferred experience.
  • A statement describing your reasons for wanting to attend a STEPS Engineering Your Future experience

Don't use a shared email account

Email is our favourite form of communication, it’s our primary way for communicating with you, your parents/guardian and teachers. You need to apply with an email address that belongs to you, we recommend you use a gmail address. The address you use is your official email address in our system, and we will use it to send you important information. 

Important information

  • Ideally applications should be completed by students except where a student is under 16 at time of applying.
  • All STEPS EYF experiences are always oversubscribed, we will be in touch if with an offer if you are successful
  • All experiences will take place during business hours. 
  • There are no evening events and no accomodation provided.
  • All students are responsible for their transportation to and from the experience.
  • Please note applications will close for any experience as soon as 150% of the capacity is reached. 

NOTE  once you fill in your application you will need to:

  • Mark as complete
  • Go back into the application
  • Review and submit
  • Hit 'submit your application'
  • If you do not follow all the steps your application  will not be sent to us.
